About
A portrait of the person behind the practice. Your photo goes here.
I’m an experience designer and facilitator who pulls from a dynamic past: circus, restorative justice, non-profit leadership, event design, teaching, and animal training.
I’ve designed hands-on curriculum for undergrads at Fordham University, workshops to identify stagnant norms in group dynamics during Climate Week, playgrounds that teach cooperation, multi-sensory poetry archives, large-scale games and festivals that reveal hidden dimensions of place, floating jazz clubs that reimagine New York Harbor, and shippable box-sized experiences. I’ve created weddings where guests shear sheep and spin yarn to collaboratively weave the chuppah, summer camps for adults that build volunteer pools for nonprofits, and community park dinners addressing loneliness.
I make work that invites people into new relationship with one another, place, and complex issues.
I work with communities, organizations, and individuals at any scale, from hour-and-a-half brainstorming workshops to multi-day destination events. I teach design at Fordham University. Based in Brooklyn, NY. Love to travel for work.
My approach is rooted in a few core beliefs.
Create the conditions for impact.
An impactful experience is built from intentionality in all the supporting details: environment, timing, that small surprise that leads to the next escalation. My job isn’t to dictate the outcome; it’s to design the conditions to support a group of people moving towards their goal.
Build for the whole person.
People understand through their bodies. They arrive with emotional needs. If the goal of the experience is impact, participants need to be open to change. I create the conditions for impact by designing with the nervous system, body, social safety, and emotional needs in mind.
Build structure to enable self-guided discovery.
The best experiences feel open and alive, but that feeling doesn’t come from chaos. It comes from careful scaffolding, framing, and world-building. People feel ownership of ideas that change them. I lay the path for people to make their own discoveries.
If you have a group, a place, or an idea that would benefit from experiential thinking, let’s talk.
